SHIPPING & IN-HOME DELIVERY

WHERE WE SHIP

We ship all across Canada & mainland USA

If the items are shipping to a rural location, please be aware there may be additional delivery fees.

We will contact you with a quote after your order is placed, this amount will need to be approved prior to your order proceeding. Alternatively, you may email us at heather@theheatherco.com for a shipping quote prior to placing your order.

RATES & SERVICE

The Heather Company Storefront or Warehouse Pickup: Free 

Courier Front Door/ CurbDelivery Service:

Items are placed outside at your main entryway. It is strongly advised that someone is home to receive curb side deliveries. Damages to items or boxes NOT noted on the delivery waybill by receiver is not eligible for refund or repair.

White Glove Delivery Service:

Deposit Taken at Purchase, Quote to Follow and must be approved prior to completing order.

Your furniture items will be delivered inside your home by professional furniture movers. Items (excluding lighting) will be unpacked and inspected. Items will be placed in the room of your choice and assembled as needed.

Any damage MUST be noted on delivery documents. Damage NOT noted on the delivery waybill by receiver is not eligible for refund or repair

Installation requiring hanging or attaching to walls/ceilings etc IS NOT INCLUDED. We are unable to remove or move existing furniture, including to make room for the new furnishings, and/or the placement of area rugs.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Measure every entryway into your home ( including elevators and stairways) and into the desired room. It is your responsibility to make sure the item(s) will fit into your space. Items that do not fit into the home or desired location are subject to standard return policy.

THE DAY OF DELIVERY

Please prepare your home for the delivery by:

  • placing area rugs if needed
  • remove any frames or artwork that could be damaged
  • remove doors as needed if additional clearance is required
  • secure pets 
  • book elevator if required
  • Clear all stairways and walkways of snow, planters, etc

REQUIRED DELIVERY DOCUMENTATION

We have worked hard to ensure we are supplying you with beautifully made goods, well delivered.

Unfortunately shipping damages can and do happen. It is your responsibility to ensure you have documented any and all damages on the delivery waybill/receipt.

Without that documentation the insurance we provide durning shipping via the carrier WILL NOT BE APPLICABLE, making it impossible for us/or the carrier to provide any refunds/repairs.

US CUSTOMS & DUTIES 

Your purchase from The Heather Company does not include US customs/Duties and Taxes unless other wise noted. You may need to pay these to the delivery carrier at the time of delivery.

SPECIAL ORDERS & LEAD TIMES

All of the items on our Webstore are considered SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS. As such, production and shipping times can vary from 6 to 14 weeks depending on the item. We will keep you advised on when you can expect the items to ship. 

DELIVERY DELAYS

Delivery times can change due to circumstances out of our control. We will do our best to advise you immediately of any changes that occur.

COVID-19 INFORMATION

Due to high volume and the impact of Covid-19 service disruptions, shipping time will be a bit longer than normal. Although the majority of our suppliers have resumed operations, delays will be possible due to production and shipping back-logs. If a greater delay is expected, our staff will make best efforts to advise you as soon as possible.
